privacy
A short version for the test of Backrow.
This is a placeholder. The full privacy notice, with the retention period, will be published here before Backrow opens to people outside the test.
who you are
You sign in with Apple, and Backrow asks for nothing else: no name and no email. All we hold is an account id and whether you said you're 18 or over.
in a room
You get a new name and colour in every room. Other people only ever see those, never your account.
what's kept
Messages are kept for 30 days after a room ends, and then deleted. Reports keep a copy of the message that was reported.
your location
Your phone uses its location to find rooms near you and to check you're still around. We don't store it. A room is pinned to a spot rounded to about 100 metres.
how the test is measured
To see whether the test works, Backrow notes simple events, such as opening an invite link or joining a room, against your account and a random id made on your phone. They don't include what you say.
The house rules say what's allowed in a room.
